From the moment I first saw Nadal with his knees wrapped a little under the kneecap, I figured something must be up. I guess his uncle Toni figured he’d try a stop-gap measure for a while. But now it seems way more serious than a slight inflamation of either a leg muscle or a ligament. Could be he’s torn a tendon, and if so, he won’t be playing much tennis if any at all for quite a while. Tendons and ligaments heal a lot slower than muscle tissue does.
But who knows? Perhaps the Barcelona specialist they took him to will determine that it’s not as serious as uncle Toni reported.
But none of us want to see Nadal or any other athelite crippled for the rest of his life.
Seeing the specialist is the wisest course of action.

Too true. Take it easy Rafa, for goodness sake don’t rush, if you feel warning pain you stop, retire from the match, we don’t want you crippling yourself, it’s not right. Tennis is NOT that important in the grand scheme of things.
Interesting, Nalbandian had his hip surgery in Barcelona.
