Anybody know why Federer has four stars or whatever, on his shoe? So confusing!!!!!!

Posted by tennisplanet on June 29, 2007

A close-up of the tennis shoes of Switzerland's Roger Federer as he serves during his Men's Singles tennis match against Argentina's Juan Martin Del Potro at Wimbledon, Wednesday June 27, 2007. The shoes bear a personalized crest on the rear of them, and four Swiss flags representing Federer's four consecutive Wimbledon Men's Singles title wins on the sides.

If you even tried to answer that, go drown yourself in the kitchen sink, NOW!!!!!!

The cameraman picked up the identical ‘insignia’ on Roger’s equipment bag – and the close up showed the year’s designation in which he won his Wimbledon Championships! Will there be a “Roger doll” tennis equipped if he wins his 5th? I seriously doubt this is a personal fetish but rather a commercially driven advertising gimmick produced by the outfitters, and why not? These opportunities don’t come along that often! It’s fun and certainly draws a lot of comment, better than the comments about red underpants!

I love it all and think it’s fun too. Aren’t the ’stars’ the Swiss flag or am I missing something here?
