Nadal vs Borg: First three titles at Roland Garros.

Posted by tennisplanet on October 3, 2007

Here are some numbers for the first three titles at RG for these two clowns.

Borg lost in the fourth round, in his first attempt at Roland Garros. Nadal won it in his first attempt. First three RG for Borg were not consecutive. For Nadal they were.

Look at the freaking money Nadal has already made. Almost four times, what Borg made in his entire career. Borg bageled a lot more, but also received one bagel. Nadal is yet to receive a bagel.

Keep in mind Borg, accomplished that impossible feat of winning Wimbledon and RG back to back, three consecutive years-78, 79 and 80. Nadal has come close twice.

Borg won 61 career titles. Nadal has 23 so far.

BTW Borg was born on 6 June, 1956 and Nadal on 3 June, 1986. Reminds you of some other two birthdays?

Safin finds the climb too much, and decides to return half way.

Posted by tennisplanet on October 3, 2007

For freaks just coming out of the cave, Safin had decided to go mountain climbing. He thought it would be fun. But half way into it, he realized it is too much work, and needs too much discipline. Wait a minute, was that said about the mountain trip or his tennis career?

Following is a clip from his site. You decide which career he is referring to!!!!!!!

“First of all Marat realised that this climb is a very serious challenging issue and not just an adventure. He loves the experience and is fully into it but realises that it has to be treated with great caution and respect. And the next step is a very big one indeed.

Talking to me and to the people he is closest to in the delegation and his coach via satellite phone – he has decided that the smartest and bravest decision for him is to step down and to start a very long 5 day trip back to travel down the mountains and back to Moscow.”

What happened to all that jazz and glamour?

U.S. tennis player Serena Williams smiles during a media conference at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, southwestern Germany, on Monday, Oct. 1, 2007.

Did Justine’s ‘lucky’ shots take that away from you too, alongwith the trophy?

Special quota for Asian players? Have you lost your marbles?

Posted by tennisplanet on October 3, 2007

Have you heard of this crap?

The Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) is demanding that 25 percent of the field in every event on the continent be comprised of Asian players.

How about just 15 percent for basement junkies with goats and inflatables? Or freaks who haven’t heard of clothes?

What’s next? Special quota for morbidly obese players? Oh, sorry, that’s already there.

How about plain talent? Is that too much to ask? That you get off your butt and work your way into the tennis elite, instead of waiting for handouts?

This ATF BS is actually threatening to break off from ATP, and start their own operation in Asia, if their demands are not met. Please don’t do that. We will miss all the great Asian players on the circuit now. Get a freaking life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If people from Serbia, Croatia and India can produce tennis players, what is your excuse? Mental retardation? Would you like us to also lower the net, increase the racket size, increase the court size, bigger balls, massage parlours on court…….

Just freaking switch to ping pong, you knuckleheads and ruin that to your heart’s content.
