Secret thoughts of the top three in the world.

Posted by tennisplanet on November 6, 2007

Federer:Whooosh. Thank God, I won that Basel nonsense. Talk about nickle and diming to the No. 1 ranking. And that $1.5 million looks so good on the cheque book – you know that bundle of cash, these Paris clowns gave me for just showing up.

Looks like the party is coming to an end, based on this year’s stats. Hope I can get No. 14 at Roland Garros, so I can play loose for the rest of the season.

I also wish that I get a good draw at TMC, and capitalize on it by winning it. Nine losses in a year, otherwise, would look excessive after just five, last year. Good, that obese Nalbandian is out, and has decided not to come to China, even if he qualifies as an alternate.

Now, I think I have, just Djokovic to worry about. Nadal is out. Why can’t we play Roland Garros NOW.

Nadal: I cannot freaking believe I lost to some morbidly obese, old, over the hill midget at Paris. If I cannot win hard court events with the ducks lined up for me, like they were at Paris, I may really never be No. 1 ever.

With Djokovic and Murray on the rise, even my No. 2 ranking is not looking so solid anymore. How come these other jokers, are not having problems with their freaking knees.

Hope Federer’s graph dips sharply next year, alongwith stunted growth for both Djokovic and Murray, and I am on my way to the top spot.

It will difficult to live with that trivia attached to my name: No. 2 player never to have reached the top ranking.

Djokovic:I think, next year, is going to be my year. Federer has already shown signs of slowing down. Five different players have defeated him this year, for the first time in four years.

I know I can beat Nadal anytime, maybe even on clay. I know I am really the No. 2 in the world. By March, I should be able to make it official.

If I can get one more win over Federer here, I think I will be able to get into his head, like Nadal and Nalbandian. I just need to work on my physical conditioning and fitness, to narrow the gap.

I am already looking forward to the AO, where I think I have a realistic chance of upsetting Federer. Hope I, or someone else, can beat him at TMC, and then hopefully Sampras will do the rest of my work, later this year.

How wonderful will it be, to see my prediction about Federer not winning all the time, come true. And to see him, with that small dish, next to me, holding that huge trophy, will be heavenly. I love to see him squirm, when he loses, at trophy ceremonies.

Is Sampras feeling good or what?

Posted by tennisplanet on November 6, 2007

Can the picture get any more perfect for Sampras?

Guy will be coming off a hectic ‘end of the year’ schedule, his game is sputtering, is having one of the worst seasons since he ascended the throne….

Isn’t it perfect, to top the season off with meaningless, taxing and potentially dangerous freaking exhibition rubbish? It may be all fun and game, but once the rubber hits the road, you can bet your ass, that it will be a duel.

Same thing happens when Borg and McEnroe face off. Only difference is, that no one is jeopardizing his place in the annals of history. Except for the pride, nothing else is at stake.

You think there is a little more on the line, in this one? You think!!!!!!!!!

It is a stupidest decision Federer has made. It was beyond ridiculous when it was Okay-ed, back in March or so.

But, with what has transpired since then, and considering what is on the plate next year, along with emergence of both Djokovic and Nalbandian since then, it has to be labelled a career threatening jab, at worst, and falling short in the eyes of the history books, at best.

Can you even imagine, approaching Sampras, Connors, Lendl or Agassi, for this crap, if they were at the cusp, of being declared an undisputed king of the tennis world?

You think, these matches will not sap energy, and take away, what should have been invested, in harvesting the ripe crop in the fields? Or you think, this will keep him in match-ready mode for next year, while others are just ‘vacationing’, after a brutal season?

You’ve got to be freaking kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And add all that travel and the media circus, and you have just created the perfect storm - to take you down next season, if you escape it, before the year ends.

Get the ef out of there. No one can fault you, for looking out for yourself. There is still time. And if TMC, results in anything close to Paris, or even Madrid, you will be just getting what you deserve.

It’s absolutely vital for you to win the AO, next year. Not just for the confidence, considering FO is next, but to send a strong message to the field, and make a dent in the bloating baloon of belief, some jokers have, after your performance this year.

Do you see the difference of going into the FO without the AO title, and beyond? How about going into Wimbledon, without the AO and the FO. It did not work out this year, despite your utter dominance at the AO, but maybe it could have been worse without it, considering the ‘Roche’ drama etc.

But next year, appears to be looking good at the FO, with Nadal riddled with injuries, and no other serious threat has emerged, since your last visit there. OK, maybe Ferrer, but he can get bigger than he actually is, only if you have a chip on the shoulder, for not having won the AO, like it happened last year.

So instead of resting yourself up, for not only the first Grand Slam of the year, but also to grab No. 14 at Roland Garros (how sweet would that be), and build momentum early, you are engaging in these stupid antics, which are reserved, for after you have had your main course meal. You don’t have the dessert first. Just look around, and see what the previous greats of the game have done and achieved.

How unfortunate would it be, to look back at these ridiculous matches, and blame them in retrospect, from getting in the way of you making history next year? Is there any freaking way, they can benefit you, in what you are trying to achieve?

Don’t get caught up, in the hype, jokers around you are using to bloat your ego. Be business like and ruthless in finishing the job. Job is far from being done. All you have to do is put that last brick in that mansion, now.

Don’t play around with that last act, or that mansion will come down like a pack of cards, and all that dazzle and sizzle of four years, will fall short of the pedestal it deserves.

Cut your freaking losses and go freaking HOME, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need proof, how poorly paid, tennis players are?

Posted by tennisplanet on November 6, 2007

Federer, arguably is the most dominant athlete in the world. He has already been crowned as the GOAT, by many respectable tennis minds. No one, except Tiger Woods, can even come close, to how brutally he has swept the competition.

Can you think of anyone in the current era? No, you can’t.

Despite all that, some clown from Italy, Valentino Rossi, from an obscure joke of a sport, called Motorcycling, earns more money than him. Even freaking Michael Jordan, who has been retired for four freaking years, makes more. That washed up soccer star, David Beckham is ahead of him. Fat and lumpy Phil Mickelson earns way more, playing freaking golf!!!!!!

Where do you think Federer is, on The World’s 25 Top-Earning Athletes list? Some freaking Auto racing lunatics are making more money.

Are you freaking kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Click here for the complete list. Pathetic.
