TP, thank you for that article from the Herald Tribune. That’s an international British paper, isn’t it?
I agree with Roger’s value system–Wimbledon is the crown jewel in tennis, and I wouldn’t exchange it for Roland Garros either.
But then, there is a probability that he won’t have to choose, and that he will make the Grand Sweep this year.
Olympics is wonderful in many sports, but I don’t value it as much in tennis. Still, it has a lot of prestige, and if Federer wants it, he will take it. There is no pressure like wanting to win for your country, and the Fed doesn’t have to prove anything to Switzerland, or to the world. But if he gets going in that full-flight playing style, he might even take trophies that don’t yet exist.
