Are the Chinese people bending over backwards to the point of making foreigners uncomfortable?

Posted by tennisplanet on August 9, 2008

You cannot fool all the people all the time, like I have said many times. Granted you want the world to see you in positive light, and to a certain limit it’s understandable, when on the other hand you have morons in Cincinnati hiring sumo wrestlers for linemen.

Everyone wants their country to be liked, specially when you are a rising power. But if all that hospitality and goody goody BS goes beyond a certain point, it’s creepy. After all, all this propped up crap cannot camouflage the negative stuff the world has known about the country for generations.

Besides, all that high you are on constantly, sets you back even further when things like this killing on the tower happen. It tends to wash away all that effort with one stroke.

Just do what’s needed to be done and then just be yourself. Isn’t that a better recipe of a long term and lasting impact of your contact than some fake made up facade?

One more of this violent incident and it’s all going to go down the tubes.

What I want to know is who were the bunch of knuckleheads and morons who granted Beijing the right to host the Olympics in the first place, knowing what the world knows about the place? What were they thinking? That by the time the date rolls around, everything will just vanish by waving a wand? Geeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzz!!!!

China, you better make sure no American gets hurt from now on, or else you will face the wrath of the ‘eagle’.

Mirka has clearly lost some weight. Is it a coincidence that it has come at a time when Federer’s career may be tapering off?

Posted by tennisplanet on August 9, 2008

It’s possible. After all, every freaking cucumber knows that Federer is not going to be as stupid as Roddick to get engaged or married in the middle of his career.

Now that the career appears to be coming to an end, Mirka wants to make sure she is in contention for the job. Shedding some weight right now for Mirka is what we call ‘career management’. Poking holes in the condom hasn’t worked so well for her, obviously, or has it?

It’s like a player whose performance on the court/field surprisingly improves during the contract year. Once the contract is signed the graph conveniently reverts back to his pre-contract days.

These are starting to look like contract years for Mirka. She has to close the deal now. It’s now or never. What better way to position yourself for the ‘launch’ than to stop eating!!!

Watch this closely: Mirka’s weight will start to go down proportionately to Federer’s career and titles on the tour, ending in marriage, which is a virtual lock now. If Federer couldn’t shake Roche with ease, what do you expect here? But once the marriage is recorded, the weight will return to it’s glory days within, oh, 24 hours, if that.

Don’t believe it? Wanna bet your crappy car on it? No you don’t because you know it’s as certain as death and taxes.

Why did Kobe Bryant get such a huge and long standing ovation at Olympics? Have a clue? No, you don’t!!!

Posted by tennisplanet on August 9, 2008

Which player would you love the most? Here are your choices:

1. One who has never been beaten.

2. One who reaches the top and then hits bottom BUT refuses to accept it and comes right back up to No. 1.

Are you freaking getting the freaking point, or do I ……?

At this level, the game itself takes the back seat, it’s your spirit that transcends all kinds of BS to force you beyond the ceiling only a handful of humans will ever break.

You think Ali would have been the greatest athlete of the century and maybe forever, if he had not been stripped of his title and hit the rockiest of rock bottom? Maybe. But not to the scale he is currently on. No way!!!!

It’s the same reason Connors was adored and Agassi was praised.

People can see if you are just going through the motions or you are putting out your very best. When Nadal retires, his Grand Slam titles will take a back seat to the fighting spirit as the most memorable part of his career.

Kobe is arguably the best basketball player on the planet today. Other than LeBron there’s no one even close. But that’s not what draws fans to him like a magnet. It’s his willingness to give 110 percent on the court every freaking time. He truly embodies what Jordan once said on how to excel at basketball ‘Treat every game as your last’.

World will ALWAYS lift the human to a pedestal, who refuses to accept life’s reverse gear and forces life to pay what he demands, irrespective of the type of endeavor he / she is involved in, from sports to politics to business to basements.

You have heard my famous quote, haven’t you? “Rock has to go through fire to become a diamond” or something like that. The fire in you has to be so intense and hot that it has to eclipse the fire that burns you when the chips are down.

You know what happens next? Life comes face to face with you and says “Oh, you have no idea when you are being whipped. So ask what you want and your wish will be granted”. NO ONE who has achieved any thing worthy in life has not faced this test. There is no other way.

The beauty of it all is that the individual if asked to repeat it, will not want it any other way. That passage puts your individual stamp on your success as distinct as your fingerprints.

World loves a winner and has no time for the loser – another of my famous quote.

The journey upwards the first time is fascinating, but the euphoria you get when going up the second or third time is infinitely rewarding. It’s almost like being in a trance or being possessed.

You will never understand the full force of what I barked above UNLESS you feel it first hand, which is never going to happen to all you lazy ‘compromising with adversity’ freaks. SO just blindly believe it and trust me on everything I say from now on.

NOW, slowly walk towards your cheque book and fill out the entire amount in your account. Sign it and mail it to me. This is just an exercise to improve your mobility, that’s all. Remember you cannot question me from now. OK, maybe I need little more of this brain washing BS for you to do that and more without hesitation. But I am not going to give up.

Now, what was this post about originally? Man I have to stop smoking this stuff – for an hour before posting.

With China having so many enemies all over the globe, is it even worth being there?

Posted by tennisplanet on August 9, 2008

With threats pouring all over the world, and the number of clowns whose feathers have been ruffled  by China, you’ve got be a moron to be there as an athlete leave alone as a visitor.

When someone is willing to give up his/her life to carry out their nefarious plot at such a high profile event, it leaves police with very little options to thwart them. Like the guy who killed an American before committing suicide.

With the kind of protests and the passion just the torch evoked, you think many of these clowns consider this as their most opportune stage to highlight their cause? You bet!!! Add all the restrictions the Chinese government has imposed on foreigners, the deplorable air quality etc. and you really have to be out of your freaking mind to be there right now.

I just don’t get it. Are the games so important to you that you have to compromise your bare existence to be there? Wouldn’t it be safer to watch on the tube and die from a earthquake instead?

Don’t be a fool in the rat race. Give all you can to your parents, before it’s too late.

Posted by tennisplanet on August 9, 2008

An anecdote.

A son complained that his father was taking away his money as and when he pleased. The father was sent for. He came leaning on his walking stick. He was very old and weak.

He explained ‘There was a time when my son was weak and dependent. At that time I was strong and rich. My son was penniless; I never denied him anything that he wanted. Today I am penniless and he is affluent. But he is keeping his money beyond my reach.’
