JENNY
The late Peter Sellers doing British accents. He isn’t doing Geordie, that’s the north east, Newcastle way – I can’t even get to grips with that one if it’s broad. His London is pretty good, but then I think Sellers was a Londoner. John Arlott who he mentions used to be a cricket commentator.

Thanks for sharing that one Jenny. I did SO love Peter Sellers. I adored his total immersion in his characters.
(And there was a time when I could recite every line of dialog while watching the Pink Panther Strikes Again. Heh!)

He was the first British actor who got the reputation for being able to do an American accent well. Now it’s more commonplace. I always loved his work. Thanks so much for this!

My mother likes his movie called The Party. She said she almost died laughing when he did East Indian accent and character. But my father did not agree . I shall try to watch it one day when I have time.
