Alex–won’t we DIE of nerves if it is a five setter?? I want a swift, clean kill.

but this a once in a life time history in the making for Federer.. (or the opposite)
we’ll we witness this again anytime soon? ..nope!
we need the edge!

I put Roddick in 7, because that’s what it would take. But I really think Fed in 4. Rod will take one TB; hopefully it won’t be the first set.
But like I said yesterday, I feel fortunate because whoever wins, it’ll be a good day.

I just hope Roddick doesn’t get destroyed like in Australia…that was painful to watch.

I can hardly wait. I am so happy and relaxed for I like both of them but of course I want Federer san to win quickly . I think he will.

This final is absolutely pointless. Roddick has no chance whatsoever , not even to take a set of Roger. What a booooring final it will be.Rafa, I’ll lend you my knees, just play, pleeease!!!!

I really can’t see it being boring, Andy has always fought Roger well at Wimby and when Roger was in his prime. Agreed Roger is the Grass Court King and looking sharp thus far, but Andy likes grass and has introduced so much more to his game since he linked up with Stefanki. I was very impressed when he played Lleyton, who is also a grass court specialist, a real battler and a former Wimby champ. None of us will ever know if Rafa would have even reached the final, but I had a feeling he might have been taken out earlier if he had played.

ahem?
took 2 sets off of him and was 5 points away from taking 3. longest fifth set ever in a Grand Slam match.
boring?
it is funny how this is a sport and yet people rule out certain possibilities completely. spots are unpredictable. and today, I’m not sure anyone predicted what we would see. that’s how it is… one has to maintain an open mind.. sorry if my views seem stupid, but who really thought Soderling over Nadal? ?? if it ever seems like an event is impossible, well, the impossible has already happened many times.

Well, finally it has been Federer in almost 8.

Poor Roddick… that was a brutal brutal loss. I’m a big Federer fan but I feel for this guy. It was the best chance he got and he lost it. I really hope he wins a Grand Slam in the future to heal this devastating wound. Tennis can be a cruel sport.
However on the other hand Roger Federer just made his GOAT title official today by winning his 15th and he’s only twenty freaking seven right now. Lets see what happens next because one thing is for damn sure… the ‘Federer Era’ is far from over.

Ironically, Andy nearly did it in 7 sets.
