I think that most of Nadal’s time off has been spent recharging his mental batteries. Losing to Fed in Madrid really blew his mind.

I think it was more losing to Soderling. he himself said his loss to Fed meant/changed almost nothing regarding Roland Garros. he still entered RG feeling like his old self, I guess, I mean, after his Hewitt match I remember some pretty positive comments from him.
I could be mistaken, though
