Hi Deep South Girl. Some people use the ^ symbol to express powers. For example, 3^2 = 3 x 3 = 9, 2^5 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 = 32, etc.

Sergeant- You never cease to amaze me! I love it! All the males in my family were/are engineers:grandfather/great uncle/father/both brothers.
