This is a good indication that things are getting ‘hard’ on clay.

If the ball was IN, shouldn’t Djokovic have……..
Posted by tennisplanet on June 3, 2010

……..stopped the freaking play and requested the head umpire for the match to intervene – like Safin did for foot fault? If even the replay is confirming what to the eye seems like a blatant mistake, how much of a freaking knucklehead do you have to be to just settle on umpire’s decision and carry freaking on? Isn’t this the HUGGEST benefit of clay – that you can be sure the call is ALWAYS right?
And shouldn’t ATP express their solidarity with players by taking some action against the umpire? Either the guy is blind or carries his own agenda to matches – both pretty decent grounds for termifreakingnation. Geeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could there be a Berdych-Helter Skeltor FO final?
Posted by tennisplanet on June 3, 2010
Nadal’s last showing against Almond Grower may have been the first sign of that five-year old ghost revisiting considering how huge a discrepancy the scoreline posted had compared to EVERYTHING he has generated this year. The argument that Almagro somehow has suddenly elevated his game to pull down two straight tie breaks against Nadal does not hold water against what’s transpired so far against far stronger and seasoned opponents.
Heltor Skeltor on the other hand may be exactly where Soderling was after he won the second set against Federer unleashing the flow of conviction and belief that eventually drowned Federer despite the long nose. Add Nadal’s performance against Almond Grower and you have a very high probability of a double-edged sword working AGAINST Nadal.
Nadal HAS to restore the scoreline to its original station not just to snuff out Helter Skeltor but to drain the hope other two clowns across the draw are currently entertaining with a sumptuous dinner. Bagel and break sticks would work fine. Another tie break probably won’t.
Berdy is on a far stronger tear than Soderling, if win over Federer is discounted significantly. He has not lost a set while Soderling has dropped two. Besides, eliminating Isner and Murray without dropping a set should more than compensate for Soderling’s mauling of a Federer who has won just one title in his last 12 outings. Those bombshells Soderling has been releasing against six feet midgets are about to meet their match in a guy who is not only as tall but loves to free up some bombshells of his own, neutralizing the massive edge Soderling has enjoyed so far and may still do so against another six feet midget in the finals.
