Now with his once invincible record of five straight Wimbledon titles, equalled and on the chopping block, he may not be in the best of mental health. Recent not so gracious comments favoring everyone except Federer, may be having their roots somewhere deep. Not to mention the 11 Grand Slam title record being taken down the same year.
His failed relationships, business ventures etc. brought him to near bankruptcy where he had to think of selling his most cherished Wimbledon trophies to raise money.
He has not handled his problems well, unlike Becker, Agassi, McEnroe etc.
What’s the freaking point? All this may not be leading somewhere good.
