Better poll ” who has any chance against nadal on clay this year?” The second best clay court player in the world for the last 4 years, roger. They pull away from the pack at this point of the year. A no brainer.

LOL. Who else? These two are alone on this srface. Can’t wait to see roger’s form and his mental shape soon.

Goodness, who knows. I would have thought Verdasco, but he’s never beaten Rafa on clay, ever. Not sure about Roger so far. I looked at Rafa’s 2008 stats and the European clay swing in which he competed.

The only player to beat him was Juan Carlos Ferrero in Rome. Rafa retired with a blister, but Juan Carlos was nursing a leg injury from a previous match and which the media chose to ignore – so work that one out. Mind you JCF is past his prime, so I don’t think he will trouble him this year, as neither will Moya for the same reason.

lol I dug down to see who actually stole a set from him.

Leading up to, and including Roland Garros.

    Barcelona – Ferrer
Rome – JCF winner due to retirement
    Hamburg – Djokovic, Federer
    Roland Garros – Plain sailing!

In desperation, I looked further to see who gave him a minor irritation, eg the ‘sevens’ or tie breaks etc

    Roland Garros – Bellucci, Djokovic
Hamburg – Starace, Djokovic, Federer – lol a weak link!

Davis Cup – Madrid – 1 set to Sam Querrey

Nice, Jenny – yeah 2008 was a pretty dominant year on clay.. even by Rafa’s standards…

I hope the answer to this question is Roger 😀
