    Breathtaking.

It is astonishing, especially when you see it in black and white.

Should there be ANY talk about Federer being the GOAT after stating above records! That’s a pretty big order for any one player to come close to tying/breaking most of those records!

US Open 2006 —French Open 2007 36 consecutive Grand Slam sets won..

    I like this one.

Consecutive weeks at #1 (bulk of which coincided with other GOAT contender Rafa Nadal).

Also, I am pretty sure old Rog can still overtake Pete’s *total* weeks at #1 – he just needs one or two weeks at #1. Agassi had a stint at #1 in his 30s…

Amazing….What more Federer has to do to make his case ?

Apparently he has to rise from the dead. His standard has been so high for so long and it seemed he was grudgingly, finally given GOAT status. Now that he’s fallen, people are just swooping down like vultures after the roadkill.

It’s a short life at the top—like a ballerina. Enjoy and savor it while you can.

I think you may have made a point in that statement(sarcasam observed!).
If federer was to come back from match-point at one of the slams playing Nadal(who has to be in the pink of his health for at least 3 mnths before & after that match) and win……..then, maybe then all the naysayers might acknowledge him as the Greatest Of the Last Decade(GOLD), if not GOAT.

He almost pulled it off at Wimby ’08.

There are several more “stands alone” records not included on this list above, but what’s the point really?
