BLAKE

Pure poetry (No, not the campy Wimbledon kind):

I suspect the reason few of us are willing to acknowledge Rafa’s greatness is because his game is (in my opinion) ugly. He runs around the court like a bull in a china shop, whipping forehands up around his ears, looking like Geronimo on the warpath in his get ups. None of grace of Federer, talent of Djokovic, wile of Murray.
Yet he wins, defeating all comers on all surfaces. This, I suspect, is GREATNESS.

Somehow it’s so typical that pathetic hater-posters like this one can’t even stand up for themselves enough to name themselves. *sigh*

Geez, Bjornino, it started out as something not so positive, but the comment ended up being a compliment (read: GREATNESS).

Take a breath and just quit the “hate” line already. People are entitled to an opinion about Nadal for God’s sake.

I didn’t see #1 as a real hate post, Bjornino. In a way I can understand how you feel, but as I read it, it’s Rafa’s tennis that is not to his/her taste. As Sol says, the comment ended up as a compliment. I don’t like watching treetop ace machines and all power players without finesse, which I find incredibly boring, but I don’t hate these guys who all seem really nice, even if they are blasting players I like to watch off the court!

Lol Bjornino, read what Sol and esp. Jenny say about what they think of this post and than train your mind to think 50% like them and you’ll be sailing in the right direction. Next time you lable me a hater I’m just going to laugh my friend.

Oh I thought it was very well written. Is that you Sir V ? Did you clear your cache on your browser and forget to fill in your name on this one:)

Whoever this is they don’t like Nadal’s tennis. So what? That doesn’t make them a hater. You always rush in to have a go at people if they say anything even vaguely negative about Nadal but you find it perfectly reasonable to describe Soderling as a “redneck bar thug”. Don’t get where you are coming from.

NADAL IS SO GREAT FOR TENNIS THAT MANY PEOPLE WHO HAD PERCEPTION OF TENNIS AS A SISSY SPORT BEFORE THE ADVENT OF NADAL NOW THINKS OF TENNIS AS AN ATHLETIC AND MACHO SPORT.THE SIGHT OF NADAL IN HIS FULL ATHLETICISM INSPIRES PEOPLE.THE ESSENCE OF SPORT IS TO TRY AND NADAL IS A CULMINATION OF TALENT,HARD WORK,CHANGE,HUMILITY TO CHANGE FOR BETTERING ONESELF.NADAL ON COURT IS LIKE SEENG A RAMBO MOVIE.SUCH IS THE INTENSITY,INVOLEVEMENT AND DETERMINATION THAT HE IS ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLES FOR CHILDREN TO FOLLOW.HIS GRACE OFF COURT BALANCES HIS ON COURT AGGRESSION.I HOPE NADAL WILL BREAK EVERY RECORD IN TENNIS.
