Mark Woodforde and Todd Woodbridge of Australia are Inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I. Saturday, July 10, 2010.

Here’s what made them eligible:

The Woodies was a nickname given to the most successful men’s tennis doubles team in history.

They were the ATP Doubles Team of the Year four times, and won 61 ATP doubles tournaments as a pair.

The Woodies won eleven Grand Slam doubles titles in their career—one French Open, two Australian Opens, two U.S. Opens, and a record six Wimbledons.

Their other career highlights included winning a gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and a silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

In January 2010 on Australia day, The Woodies were inducted to the Australian tennis hall of fame for their spectacular acheivements in tennis. As a part of the induction ceremony their bronzed statues were placed with other great Australian tennis players at the Melbourne park.
