Nice pics, thanks TP. The Bryans usually look so smart on court, but quelle horreur, those tops! Who are their outfit sponsors? Joma have done a good job for Feli, imo.

Joma has the gift of having an athlete who literally models on the side. 😛

I have to agree with you as well about the otherwise lovely Bryans, Jenny. Those outfits look like bad accidents going somewhere to happen.

Honestly, M, I despair at some of these designs that our players are expected to wear. Surely the players have choice within the range? Maybe they like it, who knows. I love some of the player’s attire, different colours etc, but those strange open boxes, multi coloured swirley whirlies and lightning strikes are not for me. 🙂

You’d think so, wouldn’t you? The only thing I can think of is that there may be a clause in the endorsement contracts granting the sponsoring companies final approval, or something. You remember when Rafa changed his look (bring back the sleeveless! 👿 ) the press said he had “more input” into the design?

And when Roger won Wimbledon 09 he got all that flack, but Nike had the “15” jacket already made.

Also, sometimes (with notable exceptions, of course) we know boys will sometimes just throw things on, and don’t care what it *really* looks like … *sigh*
Even Roger admitted (and I think we remember, lol, his natural good looks notwithstanding) that he wasn’t always a fashion plate, didn’t really care about his clothes.

I remember Roger saying that, but he always looked smart on court and not overdone. I preferred Rafa’s original style, but I can live with his latest look, even the plaid pants. It’s the wild paintbrush effect on the shirt and pants I don’t like, imo sometimes less is best.

Roddick had a similar mess of a shirt years ago with Reebock. It was awful!!!

It reminds me of a stylized version on a tee shirt I saw years ago:

“I Ran into Tammy Faye at The Mall.”

Oh my God. I’m sorry guys but I have to say it.

The last thing I needed to see is Sam Querrey wearing a Power Balance.

I’ve never seen a tennis player with a gesture as forced as his (well maybe Berasategui). Especially on the forehand side, it’s incredible.

So much for boosting balance, flexibility and power.

    Two observations:

    1. Bagdatis looks a teensy bit like Dubya (sorry about that)

    2. Tipsaravic’s shoe looks like my Smart car.

    Good morning everyone!
