Dear TP: Could you please start a new thread with my post, no? Pete deserves it! Yeah! Happy happy Birthday Pete! All Americans – and all non American hard core tennis freaks like me – can be proud of him! 🙂 Hey this is very special!

For those who’ve ever said that Pete had no emotion and no personality, this more than made up for it. As he said, for 16 years, he was without emotion, but he definitely showed it today. I wish him nothing but the best. He deserves it, IMO.

This was a great ceremony, and so nice to hear him give credit where credit was due – to his parents, his wife, and his coaches. Pete’s a very humble and quiet man, very dignified, and this was, without a doubt, the hardest thing I’ve ever seen him do. Always loved him, always will.

His kid looks totally bored, though.
