Yep. Rumors on the blogosphere ever since Nadal arrived on the practice courts in Toronto that he’s not been in the best of moods.

The lady (very funny) who manages Forty Deuce is/will be using her press pass lots this week at the men’s Cincinnati 2010 tournament site. Here’s what she posted with a Nadal photo set today in a thread called “Rafa Haz A Sadz”.

“I caught the last 45 minutes of Rafa’s two hour practice session and to say the kid wasn’t in a good mood is a bit of an understatement. Now, to be fair, I’m not a RafaKAD. I don’t go out of my way to watch his practices or matches or anything. So these are observations from a fairly unsophisticated eye for Rafa.”

“He kept fiddling with his right knee when I saw him, bending over to rub it. Could be something, could be nothing. But, you know, it could be something is all I’m sayin.”

“I mainly watched him practice his serve. He didn’t seem too pleased with how that was going.”

“But like a good boy, he stuck around and signed for his adoring fans. For long time, actually.”

“Looking forward to seeing him practice again. It’s always a sight.”

Banti, didn’t you notice yourself during the Nadal vs Murray SF match in Toronto Saturday that Nadal’s footwork and/or walking was uncharacteristic at times?

I noticed it a few times during Nadal’s matches last week in Toronto, but I’m fairly sure I also read an exchange of posts between you and ? (something or other to do with age and Nadal’s movement on court – Toronto chat thread on TP) where you posted the same observation during his SF match against Murray.

Who knows, Banti, you could end up Hall of Fame on TP because you were the first one to actually write it here, should it turn out that something is actually off with Nadal’s right knee, no?

As Jennifur says, that’s an intense look.

I wonder why he chose to watch that match.

Murray had just beaten him, can’t blame him for looking so unhappy and intense. He studies the game to improve, against ALL his opponents.

    Nadal: Clear, solid, firm
    Federer: Fade, fight, forward

    It’s a beautiful photograph.

That’s not real Nadal, It was borrowed from Madame Tussauds. 😆

Reckon Fed no longer “intimidate” him and Murray is now his biggest hurdle? he probably is scheming in his mind what he shud do next to battle such a rising opponent like Murray while keeping a casual acquaintance with Nole for any future doubles
