Rafa’s smiley photo is cause the organizers just told him they were going to give him the trophy now. With Murray out, the next 3 rounds might as well be walk overs,so cut to the chase. All the drama will be on the other side of the draw.

Was Nadal playing a ““tweener?” Did he win the point?

nadal’s wearing a meadow (as in flushing meadows) colour top. Another sign he’ll be seeing his 1st USO final soon?

I love those flashy-flash colors on Rafa.
I like his Evening Zorro Black with the lightning-flash accents even better though.

    Thanks, TP! 🙂

Hi Sol, yes Rafa did a tweener but netted it, unfortunately.

OOOOPS, should have scrolled down… sorry!

      Oh, ok. Thank you ladies.
How many times in her life will Schiavone be able to say that she manages a particular shot better than the atp world no. 1? 😉

Maybe only this once? It is only one tournament. 😉

Even darling Roger’s was so newsworthy at least in part because — other than being so very spectacular — we haven’t had the privilege of seeing him (or anybody else, for that matter) do it in a whole year.

        I was just kidding, M.
I’m sure Nadal has pulled a tweener once or twice in his career. Anyone remember one?

Off the top of my head, there were these two shots in the Olympics — I think one of them was a tweener, but one of them was, like, a reverse-ish tweener or something (part of me wishes these things had names, like in gymnastics).

But I have a pre-shot picture of one (like the prep, or something) and what looks like a post-shot of the other, but I don’t remember the actual shot or round of either, having been in a sleep-deprived daze for most of the Beijing games … 😛

TP, I should’ve commented on this yesterday — those are beautiful aerial stadium shots.
I love Ashe and Armstrong. I just wish they’d build a roof …
