Australian Open Turkey necks wishing for Nadal to win the Slam? From Wuiches. Thanks.

WUICHES

I’ve just found an article posted(since September 14) on the freaking Australian Open site where they almost say that they’re hoping for Nadal winning the freakin’ tournament!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And are almost suggesting that he’ll make it at the USO 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TP, WTH is that???????????????????????? I mean… WTH is that????????????????????

You can post whatever you want on a blog or if you are a journalist you can write that Federer is the messiah if your newspaper allows you but on the freaking official site of a GS tournament you can’t freakin’ say that you’re expecting for some player to win the trophy!!!!!!!!!!

And we are months ahead!!!!!! We haven’t even saw Nadal’s performance in the rest of the hard court season!!!!!!!!!!!!! It could happen anything!!!!!!!!

Is that so good for business that they are really going to help Nadal to complete the achievement???

TV ratings would be that high???????

Is the enthusiasm for Nadal’s CGS so great that they are really expecting for him to complete the calendar slam????

Should we expect a soft draw conspiracy here?????

I’m rafanatic to the core but even I can’t believe that they just posted something like that!!!!!!!!

It’s just not freaking right!!!!!!! I’m gonna be waiting for that freaking draw and if it seems a little bit suspect I’m just quitting freaking tennis geeeeeezzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t understand – did Federer get this kind of treaatment when he was in his prime. What’s it with Nadal???

That is very strange that they actually said they are expecting Nadal to win AO!!! He hasn’t even won it 1 time!! I’m sure hoping someone else wins the AO – no offensive to Nadal. In fact I wish someone like DelPotro wins it !!

  2. Claire said

Correction – Nadal DID win 1 AO.

    • Bjornino said

You just happened to miss out on that one, right? LOL
Oh, btw, he had to comfort the guy he beat in the final…guy named F something who started crying when Nadal beat him 😉

      • Sol said

        Wow.

Guys, see what I mean by “Fedfans, don’t be so insecure about our guy” ? Cause you might end up sounding like this, one day. And noone wants to sound like this.

      • Bjornino said

It just made me “LOL” to see Claire so totally freak out that she “forgot” that Nadal won the AO, and that prompted my post. You obviously fail to pick up my irony. Have a drink, have a smile, Miss Sunshine Police.

      • Sol said

        Please.

Your LOLs and smiley faces don’t hide the fact that what really prompted you to react to Claire’s post was the fact that she forgot (how dare she?) that Nadal won the AO and it seemed to tick you off so much that you felt the need to bring up the “guy named F something who started crying when Nadal beat him”, which serves no purpose here, other than I guess it makes you “LOL”. It doesn’t make you sound ironic, just frustrated. So yeah, noone wants to sound like that.
But I wouldn’t dream of telling you what to do, I was addressing my fellow Fed fans. “LOL”.

      • Bjornino said

        Miss “LOL”,
The issue here is that some Fed-fans (and I must say in that regard I respect you, since you’re usually not prone to the Nadal-freak-out-bashing that others indulge in) seem to so totally freak out when the “tennis world” (in this case, the AO) anoint a new we-want-him-to-win-it-all. I agree, it’s clearly a publicity stunt from them, just as everyone in the tennis world had all their stunts while Federer was going after the FO. If Nadals wins it, so be it. If he doesn’t, then he doesn’t. And that’s all there is to it.
I take issue with the fact that outbursts like the one from Claire pass by without anyone even raising an eyebrow, while surely if someone had the NERVE to dare to “forget” Fed’s FO they’d probably be verbally lynched here.
Nadal didn’t make it to the final of the FO 2009, and Fed won. Fed didn’t make it to the final of the USO 2010, and Nadal won. They met in the AO final 2009, and Nadal won. Yes, to “forget” any of those three facts qualifies for a “LOL”.
Wishing you a wonderful day full of LOLs, Fräulein Sol.

        I think

      • Sol said

        Ok, Bjornino. I understand.
Except that the reason “that outbursts like the one from Claire pass by without anyone even raising an eyebrow, while surely if someone had the NERVE to dare to “forget” Fed’s FO they’d probably be verbally lynched here” is because Claire corrected herself. In that very same post you replied to.
Anyway, wish you an equally nice day, wherever you are. Take care.

Is there a full moon tonight????

I am really laughing with all the bitchiness! Truly! Miss Sunshine Police ! 🙂

BTW, I am curious… didn’t you two meet in Switzerland somewhere? And could it be that the meeting wasn’t very successful? Something in my memory recalls a talked about rendezvous…did I dream this?

I’ve forgotten what this whole post was about. It sort of took on a life of its own with the juicy comments.

      • chipnputt said

I am guessing the rendezvous actually went super well and they got married. They just haven’t told us for fear TP and his goats would show up for the party. This is definitely a married conversation — a good solid married conversation 🙂

      • Sol said

        Lol.
We could tell you but it’s so much more fun to keep you guessing.
How’s that for bitchiness, DSG? 😉

      • banti said

“Miss Sunshine Police” 🙂 Lock him up Sol! Make sure you give him a nice hit to the knees before so he can think of Rafa when he spends the night with Soderling’s gay friends.

Just kidding Bjorn! Am I the Rafa basher you referenced. Watch what you say now or Sol will take you out:)

      • RafaFan said

What Sol & Bjornino got married? Geeez. This would be “War of the Roses II” and meanness++ at a very high intellectual level.

      • D.S.G. said

I am most CURIOUS !! Tell, tell. Did y’all meet? If so, we want DETAILS!! Sol, you’re not being nearly bitchy enough!!

      • banti said

“Sol, you’re not being nearly bitchy enough!!”

        Damn straight! 🙂

“Is that so good for business that they are really going to help Nadal to complete the achievement???” NO.

“TV ratings would be that high???????” NO.

“Is the enthusiasm for Nadal’s CGS so great that they are really expecting for him to complete the calendar slam????” YES,they aren’t the only ones. More will hope on board the closer the AO gets.

“Should we expect a soft draw conspiracy here?????” NO, they want to see him earn it. But if he wins, there will be those who said he won because his draw was soft. 🙂

“Nadal went within two wins of a non-calendar-year grand slam two years ago.”

Yeah and??? Roger went within one win of two calendar year slams twice… where’s the reference to this? Roger also went within one win of a non-calendar year slam in 2009-2010… where is this reference?

Well if Rafa does win the AO in 2010, perhaps I will become a naysayer like those who diminish Rogers FO win in 2009 – I will take the line that Rafa had no tough opponents (out of form / low on confidence Muarray; submissive Djokovic; injured Del Potro), and that Roger was already past his peak so no longer a threat… see where I am going with this? All the places that other folks have gone to similarly dismiss some of Roger’s achievements in the recent years. Bahhhhh! All bandwagon bollocks.

There is no reference because this is about Nadal. This has nothing to do with Roger. The world does not revolve around Roger. Not every article/post/comment is about Roger.

      GeeeeeZ

Is this really something to get excited/mad about?

  6. Sol said

What’s the big deal? They’re not saying he’ll win it, just that IF he wins it, he’ll make history there at the AO. It’s just a publicity stunt for the tournament.

And yes, Fed got this much hype and more when he was at his peak. He still gets more than anyone else, despite all the blabla about his decline. Fed fans, don’t be so insecure about our guy. Right now, he still holds most of the tennis records.

  7. Bjornino said

    Wuiches,
Tell me one thing: Exactly WHERE in this article did you read that “that they’re hoping for Nadal winning the freakin’ tournament!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
    …?
The article is only a story about how Nadal is trying to become the third man in history to hold all four slams. No mention of anyone at the AO “hoping” for Nadal to win it, or rooting for him. It’s just stating the fact that he will be going for a historic feat come January.
I suggest you read it once more and cut down the 1000 “?”s and “!”s to about one or two 😉
