Looks like Djokovic is having a good time these days – that’s great! 🙂

Great pics, TP – Thank you. As always congrats to all the winners :-)and commiserations to those faves who crashed today 😦

LOL Trust you to find those pics of David, ha..ha… 😈 Theatrical bang and mumbling, that boy should be on the stage, yep he got warned for the smash. I know Ferru enjoys good international cuisine, but I wouldn’t have thought a rubber tennis ball tasted that good in any language!

      LOL Andy’s face!

😆 Clearly, much drama in both Kuala Lumpur and Seoul today.

      Sorry for David Jenny 😦

“I know Ferru enjoys good international cuisine, but I wouldn’t have thought a rubber tennis ball tasted that good in any language!”

Your boy has spat the dummy…and thought he’d try the tennis ball???

      Thanks Teep, lovely photos.

I love your ‘dummy’ and ‘tanty’ expressions, Jett! I was thinking, if he hadn’t stuffed the ball in his mouth, I dread to think what verbals would have come out of it with all that deep intensity he has going on. Some players aren’t as emotional as David, and his noise doesn’t appeal to some, but I rather like all that fire, brimstone and passion on court, [apparently he is very quiet, kind and shy off it] because to me it shows he cares, and the only person he’s directing it to his himself! He earns his money tooth and nail, strives to improve which he has done successfully, fights the giants and his own demons, and that’s why tourney directors like having him around. As DMK observed on another thread, he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves and I’ll always fight his corner objectively.

Last year he said 2010 would be his last year on tour, thank goodness he’s changed his mind and fighting back 🙂

Oh yes indeed Jenny, but I really laughed at that video of him when he was having a tanty. Never thought “having a tanty” can be soo cute! 😆 Now where can I find that video again Jenny? I will have to save it.

“Last year he said 2010 would be his last year on tour, thank goodness he’s changed his mind and fighting back”

Oh really? You mean as in “he is hanging up his racket?” Isn’t he in the top 10 at the moment? He is playing well and way too early to quit!

Hi Jett, I’ll post it to your box.

I think it was said at a low moment, David had lost confidence, he was losing matches he should have won to lesser players, got injured too. He’s got himself back on track and his goal, back in the top 10 and firing, but he needs to schedule wisely now and not grind himself into the ground.

Thirty million won for an exho win? Nice work if you can get it, certainly. 🙂

Also very smart of Nole to get over into that time zone early; hoping it helps his health challenges.

    • Jenny said

That’s serious prize money. Sorry, I don’t approve of that amount just for an exho win by whoever it is. I bet Isner and Mahut took home peanuts in comparison.

      • chipnputt said

Jenny, that’s about 25,000 US dollars.

      • Jenny said

LOL Thanks, Chip! I feel better now! I don’t begrudge anyone anything, but 30 million for an exho win cannot be morally right! Are you watching the golf in wet Wales?

      • chipnputt said

Yup, this is my Wimbledon and US Open all rolled into one. My boys are up but I don’t think it will stay that way at the end of the day. Europe up in all matches. Bah!

      • Jenny said

Enjoy, but we have to root for Europe!

      • chipnputt said

        Of course 🙂

One last thought. There are 12 players each on the US and European teams — Tiger has won more majors than the other 23 players combined. That is dominance!

      • Jenny said

        Very true!

What on earth is that yellowish greenish gooey stuff on that guy’s hand??

I like Novak and it’s good to see him having a good time 😉

Sorry Rafa 😦 rest those knees.

  7. Dee said

    Emotions!Nice pics!So Djokovic beat Nadal?

  8. Jenny said

I wasn’t sure where to post this. Mikhail Youzhny, a seed, has won in Kuala Lumpur. I love his tennis, single hander too, and it’s so nice to see him back in form. Congrats Misha 🙂

    • Bettyjane said

I was hoping Tennis Channel would air the final of this tournament at least Jenny! Do I have to stream everything!! Love seeing Misha doing well. Would love a photo of his son to float around the Internet somewhere soon!

      • Jenny said

Son? I hadn’t heard he had a son, Bettyjane. I love his ‘colonel’ salute, was that what you meant?

      • Bettyjane said

Yes he does Jen! “Maxim” was born last December. I adore that salute as well. I read once that it’s in honor of his late father who was in the military and that you never salute in Russia without your hat on so that’s why he covers his head while he does it.

      • Jenny said

Thanks, Bettyjane! Maxim – love it, where are these baby pics and of Leonardo, Luby’s son. TP? Love his proud dedication to his father. Juan Carlos looks to the sky after a victory, that’s in honour of his late mother, Rosario, who died with cancer when JC was just 17.

        Thanks for the info Bettyjane.

LOL “Maxim de Winter”, Oliver – Rebecca!

      • Jenny said

Of course I meant Sir Laurence Olivier and not Oliver Reed! 🙂

      • Bettyjane said

I like how your mind works Jen.

        Jett09–you’re very welcome!

  9. Jenny said

Congrats to Guillermo Garcia Lopez 🙂 Who would have thought he would be the Spaniard to beat Rafa, rather than one of the higher ranked compatriots, although Ferrero, Ferrer, Moya have beaten him in the past.

The Spaniards take turns beating Rafa. 🙂
Plus, he’s a target now. Every player seems to aim to beat the #1 …

Credit to G-Lopez for staying the course through the third.

So very true. ‘They’ say it’s easier being the hunter with not so much to lose.
