LOL!!!! does that imply these two players are pretty boys!

    Congrats Rafa!

Lordy, I think they could have given the runner up a smaller version of Rafa’s trophy instead of just a tiny plate 🙄

Monfils kept murmuring something and kept looking up and down. Guess he was grumbling “that’s it?”

Ferrer’s runner up shield looked so great.

I always think it takes a massive effort to get to a final, they have both beaten everyone en route. It’s only one match that separates them in the end. I must say, some of these runner up trophies look, shall we say for the want of a better word, stingy.

Nole’s trophy was massive, you could have bathed a baby in it, I wonder if he gets a replica? Ferru’s silver shield looked great too, does he keep that?

I agree Jenny and yes “stingy”! 😕

        Jett – from Webster:

        stin·gy adj \ˈstin-jē\
        stin·gi·erstin·gi·est
        Definition of STINGY

        1
: not generous or liberal : sparing or scant in using, giving, or spending
        2
        : meanly scanty or small
        — stin·gi·ly adverb
        — stin·gi·ness noun
        Examples of STINGY

The company was too stingy to raise salaries.

        Origin of STINGY

perhaps from English dial. *stinge, noun, sting; akin to Old English stingan to sting
        First Known Use: 1659

And I really do agree with Jenny’s characterization. They make the owners look ungenerous.

(Especially when they can’t be bothered to put up a roof!)

Thanks M, you’re always there for me 😉 . Thanks for the info, I got the meaning right 😀

Of course you did, Jett! You always do. 😛

Reading more carefully 😳 I thought you had a question mark instead of an exclamation point after “stingy”. It’s been a long day here.

        🙄 @ self

No M, I always have to refer to Mr Webster or google, so no need to 🙄 @ yourself.. you always mean well, much appreciated 😉

Benito Perez must be a very happy man. Mission Asia accomplished.
Both his boys picked up titles at Tokyo and Beijing and crowd went all crazy.
Like TP says,For rock people he was there to see Tafa-Bafa san win the Rakuten Open.
