Do you deep breathe? No, you don’t!!!!!!

Posted by tennisplanet on October 14, 2010

Check this:

Deep breathing is the act of breathing deep into one’s lungs by flexing one’s diaphragm rather than breathing shallowly by flexing one’s rib cage. This deep breathing is marked by expansion of the abdomen rather than the chest when breathing. It is generally considered a healthier and fuller way to ingest oxygen.

To breathe diaphragmatically, or with the diaphragm, one must draw air into the lungs in a way which will expand the stomach and not the chest. It is best to perform these breaths as long, slow intakes of air – allowing the body to absorb all of the inhaled oxygen while simultaneously relaxing the breather.

A common diaphragmatic breathing exercise is as follows:

  1. Sit or lie comfortably, with loose garments.
  2. Put one hand on your chest and one on your stomach.
  3. Slowly inhale through your nose or through pursed lips (to slow down the intake of breath).
  4. As you inhale, feel your stomach expand with your hand.
  5. Slowly exhale through pursed lips to regulate the release of air.
  6. Rest and repeat.

Did you know?

Posted by tennisplanet on September 30, 2010

………..that computer hackers of today don’t want to corrupt your computer to access personal information only. All they want to do is to convert your computer into a zombie, ready to carry out all their orders. That’s why now they don’t even want you to know you are infected. And how does that benefit them?

If they manage to ‘control’ a whole bunch of computers (btw market value for every ‘controlled’ computer is about .10 cents) they can order that army of computers to do anything – like visiting a certain site all at once. Guess what happens then? The whole site crashes.

So how do they make money? They approach let’s say a sports gambling site right before a major event like Wimbledon and demand a certain large amount. The owners know if the site goes down for even few minutes they stand to lose millions. Deal is sealed.

Translation: Get your security updates as soon as they are out since in reality they actually are a broadcast to the bad guys that we have found a loophole. Don’t open email attachments from strangers. Don’t upgrade any programme unless you visit the ‘main’ site yourself for it……..

According to the Population Reference Bureau’s “2010 World Population Data Sheet” (28-July-2010), 4.45 people are born every second worldwide, on the average, and 1.8 people die every second. Another way to look at it is: 267 are born and 108 die on an average, every minute.

And that’s not enough. Everytime Facebook posts an update, the settings go back to default mode so you have go back into the complicated setting menu and opt OUT again and again and again. That also means your private chat will become public.

2. Get the water pick. It squirts water along the gum line to remove plaque etc.

………………that you need to change passwords occassionally to be a step ahead of the bad guys? And your passwords CANNOT be anything that can be found in the dictionary. There are many ways to decode that now.

Your password should have numbers, signs (*&% etc.) and letters to make it as difficult as possible to decipher.

And when they ask you for those stupid questions to make sure it’s you (like what’s the name of your first pet/ girl friend etc.) NEVER freaking give the correct answer. Many people can get to that information through myraid of ways.

Always answer with some funky original word. Like your favorite pet: Porcupine? – and then remember it.

You think all this is overkill? Ask someone whose information has been compromised.

Best solution: Live in a basement with goats and inflatables. Nothing to fear.

………that if you use hot spots at Coffee shops etc. you are effectively giving up all your information including e-mail passwords – unless you are on a secure connection via a website that uses SSL encryption (you’ll see an address that starts with “https” in the URL).

FYI yahoo mail does not use SSL encryption. ONLY Gmail does.

Bad guys can watch EVERYTHING you are doing except your bank stuff. They can get your email address and then ask your bank to email your password by saying they have forgotten it. Bingo.

This can also happen if your neighbor is stealing your internet because you have left it open without ‘passwording’ it.

The difference between muscle and fat is an issue of density and volume. Muscle is denser than fat and takes up less space in your body which can give you a leaner look overall.

https://i0.wp.com/www.servitokss.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/man_question_mark.jpg

………..that some cops lie? I was listening to a programe where the host was taking calls from people who encountered a lying cop and it was flooded.

One lady was ticketed for running the stop sign. She said that her car came to a dead stop and the cop at that moment was looking down. She contested the ticket in the court and the judge sided with her.

I always thought ‘cop’ was one profession without the bad apple – at least here in the US. Not freaking so.

One guy was ticketed for stopping just past that white line at the red light stop – slightly into the pedestrian walk.

There were numerous other calls where the cop lied in front of the judge to make his quota, I guess.

……..that it’s highly recommended that you ‘nuke’ your computer’s hard drive every year (specially if it’s a PC) to remove programmes you are not using anymore, improve speed, remove any viruses etc. It’s basically resetting your computer to the state it was in when you first bought it.

You use the recovery disk for that.

Of course, before you wipe off the hard drive you need to save any data you want.

And once clean, you should install ALL updates BEFORE going on-line again to make sure bad guys don’t get in.
